I am pleased to present Vision, a compendium of our work at the Brady Urological Institute and a look at the surgical trends and ongoing research initiatives of our faculty.

In 2004 I succeeded Dr. Patrick C. Walsh as Chairman, and Robert H. Getzenberg, Ph.D., was handed the reins by Donald S. Coffey, Ph.D., our outstanding Director of Research, who also stepped down. The transition, which is well underway, has been a smooth one.

Drawing on exceptionally brilliant and dedicated people, and our outstanding accomplishments in the research field, the Brady Urological Institute has been the international leader in urology and for the past 16 years has been named the #1 urology department by U.S. News & World Report. While we have enjoyed much success in the past, we plan on maintaining this important leadership role with our talented, creative, and hard-working faculty. They have been the key to our success, and thanks to them, we are well positioned to continue the work ahead.

I am proud of all that the Brady Urological Institute faculty has accomplished. Looking forward, the stage is set for what promises to be our best years yet as we continue in our efforts to change the course of urological disease.
