If cancer recurs after radiation

After Prostatectomy:
Following prostatectomy some men will develop disease recurrence.  This can either be in the form of PSA rises only (above 0.2ng/ml) or in setting of metastatic disease visible on conventional imaging.  If your PSA is ever 0.2ng/ml or greater after surgical treatment you should consult your urologist about need for imaging and the next steps in management (which can vary from observation, to radiation, to systemic therapy, to a combination of therapies).
