Dr. Jennifer Dodson was born in Ontario, Canada, and completed her B.A. degree at Columbia College of Columbia University in 1992, with a major in Biology and a minor in Philosophy.  Dr. Dodson graduated from the Medical School of the University of Wisconsin, Madison, in 1996.  Following Urology Residency and Pediatric Urology Fellowship at the Johns Hopkins University, Dr. Dodson went on to pursue a Ph.D. in Clinical Investigation in the Graduate Training Programs in Clinical Investigation at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health, graduating in 2008.  Since that time, she has remained on faculty in the Department of Urology and has a research and clinical focus on abnormal bladder function in children, spina bifida, and voiding dysfunction.  She is a Urological consultant at the Kennedy Krieger Institute.  Dr. Dodson served as Secretary (2010-2012) and President (2013-2014) of the Society of Women in Urology.

Dr. Dodson is a member of the Graduate Training Programs in Clinical Investigation Advisory Council, advises GTPCI students and represents the program on the Committee on Academic Standards at the Bloomberg School of Public Health.  She was a writing committee member for the American Urological Association Urology Core Curriculum Task Force, Evidence-Based Medicine and Clinical Trials Section in 2007, has been a small group instructor in the Introduction to Clinical Research Course in the Department of Epidemiology for the past two years, and is a faculty member for the Ethical and Regulatory Issues in Clinical Research offered at the Johns Hopkins School of Public Health.
