Dr. Kevin Billups is an associate professor of urology and medicine at the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine. He serves as the Director of the Integrative Men’s Health Program at the James Buchanan Brady Urological Institute. Dr. Billups designed the Men’s Health & Vitality Program as an initiative to promote prevention, early detection and early stage management of chronic medical disease including prostate cancer. Dr. Billups’ area of clinical expertise involves the use of erectile dysfunction and testosterone deficiency as gender-specific markers for early detection and the prevention of chronic medical conditions, such as diabetes, heart disease and hypertension. Dr. Billups also has expertise in penile prosthetic surgery for men who do not respond to medical management.

He is actively involved in creating a multidisciplinary Men’s Health Program that addresses both traditional medical therapies and the social determinants of health to promote prevention and early stage management of the chronic medical diseases which are known to be major contributors to premature death and suffering among men. Dr. Billups obtained his medical degree at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine and his undergraduate education from Harvard University. He completed his residency in urology at the Brady Urological Institute at Johns Hopkins. Dr. Billups went on to receive fellowship training in sexual medicine, male infertility and vascular biology at the University of Virginia in Charlottesville, where he was honored as an American Foundation for Urologic Disease and Robert Woods Johnson Foundation scholar.

Dr. Billups is the vice chair of the R. Frank Jones Urological Society, a member of the Scientific Advisory Board for the Foundation for Men’s Health and vice chair of the urology section of the National Medical Association. Dr. Billups has been a speaker for both national and international organizations. He has also authored numerous academic papers on topics concerning the link between men’s health, cardiometabolic disease and sexual medicine.
