Dr. Kevin Billups is an Associate Professor of Urology and Medicine as well as the Director of the Men’s Health & Vitality Program. His area of clinical and research expertise involves the use of erectile dysfunction, testosterone deficiency and lower urinary tract symptoms (LUTS) caused by benign prostate enlargement as gender specific markers to identify men at increased risk to develop cardiovascular disease and/or diabetes.

He received his Medical Degree from The Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine in Baltimore, Maryland and his undergraduate education from Harvard University. Dr. Billups completed a residency in Urology at The Johns Hopkins Hospital Brady Urological Institute. 

He then went on to receive fellowship training in sexual medicine, male infertility, and vascular biology at the University of Virginia in Charlottesville where he was honored as an American Foundation for Urologic Disease and Robert Woods Johnson Foundation scholar.

An authority in the field of male sexual health, Dr. Billups has been a speaker for both national and international organizations. He has also authored numerous academic papers on topics concerning the link between men’s health, cardiometabolic disease and sexual medicine. He has a special interest in clinical interventions using erectile dysfunction, testosterone deficiency and LUTS as predictors and warning signs for early detection of chronic medical conditions, such as diabetes, heart disease and hypertension.

Dr. Billups is also actively involved in the National Medical Association Urology Section where he currently serves as the Vice Chairman and has been the Program Director for the annual meeting Men’s Health Symposium for the past 8 years. Dr. Billups designed the Men’s Health & Vitality Program as an initiative to promote prevention, early detection and early stage management of chronic medical disease including prostate cancer.

Having appointments in both Urology and Medicine/Preventive Cardiology has allowed Dr. Billups to create an innovative clinical approach utilizes sexual health to look at the whole man. Dr. Billups has been married for almost 30 years and has 3 children. In his spare time he enjoys watching football, participating in community educational events and kayaking.
