Bruce J. Trock, Ph.D., is Associate Professor in the departments of Urology, Epidemiology, Oncology, and Environmental Health Sciences, and Director of the Division of Epidemiology in the Brady Urological Institute. His research focuses on etiologic mechanisms (e.g. oxidative stress, senescence pathways, environmental exposures), gene-environment interactions (diet and genes associated with oxidative stress, inflammation and methylation changes), and biomarkers for early detection and prognosis.  He is also interested in statistical issues involving biomarkers, and statistical models to explore the relationship between aging and prostate cancer.  Dr. Trock also studies common pathways linking breast and prostate cancer etiology.

The Brady Division of Epidemiology has the overall goal of studying etiology and clinical outcomes of urologic disorders, with particular emphasis on urologic cancers. Research areas include comparison of health outcomes among different treatments for prostate cancer, and efficacy of biomarkers for early detection and prognosis of prostate and bladder cancers.
